The differentials in the Hyundai Genesis Coupes had slight differences between models. The R-Spec and the Track model both came equipped with a factory LSD. Besides the different ring & pinion gears and the open or lsd internals the differential housings are all the same. This helps with enthusiasts desire to modify.

Differential Fluid: Synthetic GL-5 SAE 75W-90. About 1.4 Liters.

Differential Final Drive gear ratio:

2010-2012 BK1

Theta 2.0 Manual transmission: 3.909:1

Theta 2.0 Automatic transmission: 3.909:1

Lambda 3.8 Manual transmission: 3.538

Lambda 3.8 Automatic transmission: 3.727:1

2013-2016 BK2

Theta 2.0 Manual transmission: 3.727:1

Theta 2.0 Automatic transmission: 4.181:1

Lambda 3.8 Manual transmission: 3.727:1

Differential Removal:

Whether you want to change your gear ratio, put in a aftermarket differential, or install solid differential bushings you will have to remove the differential.

There are four bolts that hold the differential to the subframe, and 3 that hold the driveshaft on. Depending on your model the differential outputs could either be spline type or bolt on.

The torque spec for the four differential bolts on the Hyundai Genesis Coupe differentials are 72.3 lb-ft.

Pinion locking nut torque for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe is: 119.3 lb-ft.

Differential cover bolts torque for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe is: 39.1 lb-ft.

Simply the Best Service

Most places just sell parts and when you call them it feels like you are bothering them. My last transaction with GENRACER left nothing to be desired, meaning it could have not been better. I purchased front and rear WHITELINE sway bars, front & rear DBA rotors, and EBC YELLOWSTUFF brake pads. So Awesome

Order came fast and looks amazing on my car. I did have one problem where one tail light would blink sequentially and the other didn’t. I sent an email late in the day inquiring about it. I wasn’t expecting a response until at least the following day as it was so late. Within an hour they had gotten back to me informing me of a switch on the inside of the housing where you can choose sequential or regular. Sweet! Top notch customer service.
