Hyundai Motor America is pleased to announce the release of the All-new 2022MY Elantra N. It adds a high-performance variant to the standard model with strong, dynamic driving capabilities and aggressive design elements. There are more than 40 specialized N elements applied to the Elantra N everyday sports car, tuned precisely to enhance driving performance. The perfect platform for the driving enthusiast who’s been waiting for a new breed of high-performance sedan.

Visually, the 2022 Elantra’s distinctive body creases are enhanced with sportier styling in front and rear. The N-exclusive red strip at the base of the front fascia continues along Elantra N’s side valance, for a racetrack-ready look. The prominent, N-exclusive wing spoiler with rear diffuser helps control airflow for aerodynamic performance and aggressive styling. The N-exclusive interior conveys the application of N-branded elements, including the steering wheel, shifter, sport seats, door scuff panels and metal pedals.

Elantra N is powered by a 2.0-liter, turbocharged, direct-injected engine which produces 276 horsepower and 289 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine comes with a standard six-speed manual transmission with down shift rev-matching or an available N 8-speed Wet Dual Clutch transmission with exclusive N features like N Grin Shift (NGS), an over boost feature that gives Elantra N an additional 10 horsepower for 20 seconds just by pressing the red button on the steering wheel and N Power Shift (NPS), which provides a ‘push feel’ during upshift as though shifting through the sequential gears of a race car.

2022 Elantra N adds a host of N-specific performance enhancements including, a Hyundai first integrated drive axle, inspired by technology in WRC rally cars which enhances handling under extreme lateral g-forces, an electronic limited-slip N Corner Caring Differential facilitates faster corner exits through its 245-section width Michelin® Pilot Sport 4S tires mounted on 19-inch alloy wheels. Elantra N also applies new-generation Electronically Controlled Suspension and various body reinforcements to further support its high-performance driving dynamics.

As in true N fashion, Elantra N gives the driver even more levels of control and personalization. N specific menus with driver customizable presets and real-time data are added to the 10.25” Navigation system. Even the 10.25” instrument cluster features an N specific display with a center mounted tachometer, sequential shift lights and pertinent engine information for high-performance driving.
